Bet you thought I forgot

No way, Jose. If there is anything in this world I can depend on it is that immediately after a holiday any and all goods related to that holiday will go on sale.  I could give a rat's butt about discounted Christmas wrapping paper, and already cheap champagne isn't any more attractive when it's been marked down.  But this? This one is for me and for any other single folk who have to suffer through all that February 14th foolishness.

Yup! That's right - I scored bags of both Hershey's Cherry Cordial Kisses and Reese's Peanut Butter Hearts at less than half the price they were a few days ago.  You can keep those nasty chalky pastel hearts with their dippy sayings.  I've got what I want and it goes much better with red wine.

I scored dark chocolate, peanut M&M's . . . so what if they're pink and white?

Hershey's Cherry Cordial Kisses ?

Get out!

Never have I heard of such a thing, but more importantly, why hasn't my husband ever heard of such a thing to give me?

You totally scored on the post-Hallmark Holiday festivities, chickie, and I totally agree about those dumb chalk-hearts with pithy phrases - blech!

I'm doubled over, here. I just got back from the store and a bag of those same kisses found their way back with me! And yes. That would be my second candy run, in case you were keeping track.

I'm making another one on Friday to see what's left. I have no shame whatsoever. :)

I keep avoiding the stores right now as I have no willpower whatsoever. Being diabetic, it doesn't take much to throw me off track. The Doc pinches me every time I gain a pound.

That was a great score though. I remember it well. :) xxoo
